Sailing Tiki 38 Marabu

Found this great video of Daniel Ganz’s Tiki 38 ‘Marabu’.
Daniel was part of a little mast buying syndicate I was in and I just realised that out of four of us that pooled our order for aluminium masts (brilliantly organised by Martin Hivon) I am the only one who hasn’t used them yet!
They are:
Daniel Ganz “Maribu”
Jaques Pierret “Pilgrim”
Martin Hivon “Alraso”
and me “Gleda”

A Sense Of Scale – Another View

A few days ago I posted some photos of me with my Wharram Tiki 38 'Gleda' as a response to a few folks who'd found it difficult to get a sense of scale from my blog photos.
Yesterday I posted a video of a Tiki 38 sailing in company with a Tiki 46 and commented how much bigger it was.
Today I was reading James Wharrams blog about his trip to meet Rory McDougall on his return from a double Atlantic crossing in his Tiki 21 'Cooking Fat' and saw this photo of James standing next to a dried out 'Cookie'.

In just 3 days we've seen 3 Tiki's of different scales but with a common pedigree and the ability to carry their owners safely across the oceans. All credit to The Wharram design and the great people who build and sail them.
